Dear Colleagues,

Faculty of History of Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, Bucharest, and the National Institute for the Study of Totalitarianism of the Romanian Academy takes great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the international scientific conference EU and Black Sea Regions: Challenges and Opportunities for a Multilateral Cooperation, which will be held in Bucharest, at the premises of Faculty of History, on June 7-9, 2013.

The intention of the organizers of this Conference would be to consider, from theoretical and empirical point of view, among other things, EU enlargement and cooperation with the countries from this region, transnational energy projects in the Central and Eastern Europe and Wider Black Sea area, national approaches to energy security, future geopolitical scenarios and the analysis of historical, cultural and geopolitical evolutions in this region.

Hoping that you will recognize the validity of our research efforts, we are free to suggest topics of the Conference defined in the following scientific topics:

1. History and Civilization
2. Geopolitical Developments. Diplomacy and Cooperation
3. Cultural Confluences and Interferences
4. Authoritarian Regimes and Antitotalitarism Resistance

Also, conference working languages are English and Romanian.
